Julia Segalot and Clément Boulanger

Julia Segalot is a French show jumping rider born in 1992. She represents France in international competitions organised by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI). Passionate about riding from a very young age, she specialised in show jumping, the flagship discipline of equestrian sport. Active on the circuit since the early 2010s, she has more than 800 official starts in international classes. Her consistency and technique have earned her almost twenty wins in FEI competition.

Julia has competed with several top-level horses, including Hudson de Vains, Impeccable des Blés and Double Lu. These horses have helped build her reputation as a rigorous and elegant rider.

She was ranked among the world's top 300 female riders in the Longines/FEI rankings in 2022 and 2023. This position reflects her consistency in a particularly demanding and competitive sport.

Julia competes regularly at CSI 2* and 3* shows, often in Western Europe. She stands out for her ability to ride young and experienced horses alike. Her career is built on a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to the well-being of her horses. Keeping a low media profile, she prefers to let her results and her rounds speak for themselves. Julia belongs to the generation of French riders who carry on the tradition of excellence in show jumping. Her performances place her among the riders to watch on the international equestrian scene. Her stated goal is to keep progressing towards the highest levels of world show jumping. She is also involved in training and producing promising young horses. Her regular presence on the circuit shows a constant commitment to competition. Always striving for perfection, Julia Segalot embodies riding that is technical, fluid and respectful of the horse. Today she remains a rising and respected figure in French show jumping.

Her husband, Clément Boulanger, a French show jumping rider, was born on 7 May 1985 in Normandy. From a family of breeders (prefix "de la Ménardière"), he started riding ponies at the age of 6, passed his Galop 7 at 10 and quickly made a name for himself in junior competition, achieving several placings at CSI shows. In 2007, he joined the Haras de Hus alongside Kevin Staut, then the Haras de Lillebec, where he trained and competed in Nations Cups with the French team. He then worked for Stéphane Conter in Belgium, developing his expertise in horse dealing and his network.

In 2012, he founded his own yard in Normandy, at La Ménardière, combining top-level competition, horse sales and coaching. Considered one of the best riders of his generation, he has also worked with prestigious yards such as those of Éric Levallois and Stephex. Today he continues to compete at Grand Prix level and to train young talent, while running a business recognised in the equestrian world, le Haras de Leaupartie (Calvados), together with his wife Julia Segalot.
